So I’ve been reprimanded and put down for my lack of blogging lately. Sorry! I’m back, atleast for the moment. Some people blog for quantity, I like to think I blog for quality. Yeah, that’s what I tell myself. If there is one word to describe this season of life it is “changes.” It seems the old adage is true, “the only thing constant is change.” I’m experiencing it on multiple fronts. Tomorrow is a big day at my house. My oldest son, Riley, is headed off for his first day of kindergarten. He is absolutely excited. I happen to think it is pretty sweet myself. I’m a bit concerned about Momma. My money says she’s gonna break down. Of course I think she’ll get over it pretty quickly.

We’re also experiencing some pretty exciting changes at Lifepoint. We’ve got a new website that is going up in the next week that’s gonna be flippin sweet! A big thanks to Brent for that one! On the week of September 10th we will be launching our second service. Instead of a single 10AM service we will provide the community with two options a 9:30AM and an 11AM service. We’ve got some big plans in the works for the weekend of the 10th. Not only is it our launch of two services but it is also our Fall Kickoff with a guest band, Exodus, from Liberty University.

We are sending out over 15,000 mail pieces to the surrounding area as well as giving away free gas on Saturday, September 9th. Talk about putting all your eggs in one basket. If there’s anything that I have learned throughout this journey it is that God can be trusted. Period! I think too often we don’t experience the power of God because we honestly don’t believe He will come through for us. In my experience, everytime we have stepped out in faith God has shown up. He did it with our housing. He did it with our team. He did it with the money to purchase our equipment. He did it by extending our contract at the school. He did it with the money for this fall kickoff. He does it each week by allowing us to keep reaching people. It is my hope and prayer that we never stop putting God’s name on the line. May we never stop trusting Him for what only He can do!
